Lavender off the Westpac brand but remains on wider roster

Picture-123Lavender’s on-off affair with the Westpac brand is off again, with the direct and digital agency once again being removed from the roster.

However, it will continue to work for the wider Westpac Group, running CRM for St George, Bank of Melbourne and Bank SA.

Lavender has been involved with Westpac for well over a decade, and been downgraded on the roster a number of times, before each time regaining its hold.

The major beneficiary of the shakeup is DDB Group, which will strengthen its grip as Westpac’s master agency. Its DM sister RAPP will now run Westpac’s CRM and digital accounts. DDB Shop Melbourne has been appointed to Westpac’s Retail business.

John Harries, Westpac’s GM of strategic marketing, Australian financial services, said in a statement: “Lavender has had a long standing partnership with the Westpac Group and we are pleased to see this continue.”
