Lee steps down from Cutting Edge

Cutting Edge has announced that company founder John Lee will step down from his role at the company, and will be succeeded by an executive chairman – former Super Cheap Auto CEO Bob Thorn.

According to a Cutting Edge spokesperson, Lee’s interest in the company “will terminate as of October 31”. Lee will now take up his position at the board of Ausfilm.

In a statement, Lee said he is “truly excited” about the next chapter of his life.

“Along with Ray Smith CEO, Michael Burton managing director, Matt Lawson CFO and Kylee Ratz general manager and an incredible management team, we have grown the organisation to over 140 people across the country and around the world. So the time’s right for a new challenge,” said Lee.
