Leigh Monti promoted to top sales job at ACP

leigh montiLeigh Monti was today named as ACP Magazines’ sales director just seven months after joining the company.

He replaces Louise Barrett who is moving to Ten. Barrett’s last day with ACP today although she will not be able to start at Ten until the new year.

Matthew Stanton, CEO of ACP Magazines, said in a press release: “I take this opportunity to thank Lou for the great work she has done here at ACP across all of our brands and multi-platform channels and wish her all the best for the future.

“Leigh Monti has done an outstanding job at ACP Magazines since joining the company early this year. His leadership skills and knowledge of the advertising and marketing industry across Australia are exemplary, and I know this well-deserved promotion will provide our clients, business and staff with the best service and management in the publishing industry.”

Monti’s appointment comes as Nine Entertainment Co prepares to sell ACP to Bauer.

Peter Wiltshire, Group Sales and Marketing Director of Nine Entertainment Co., said: “Leigh has worked hard to become an enormous asset for ACP Magazines and this move is a natural progression from his current role as National Sales and Operations Manager.”

Monti said: “I am very excited to be continuing as part of the senior management team at ACP and I’m looking forward to the challenges that the new role will bring.”

Before ACP, Monti had senior roles at APN News & Media and at Multi Channel Network.
