Lexer hires Aparna Gray as VP of marketing

Customer data and experience platform Lexer has hired Aparna Gray as its new VP of marketing.

Today Lexer, the customer data and experience platform (CDXP), confirms the appointment of Aparna Gray as its new vice president (VP) of marketing.

Gray joins from Dotdigital where she was most recently head of marketing for APAC. She brings more than two decades of experience in marketing, PR and communications, having worked in the UK, China and the US.

Specialising in the SaaS, high-tech and online retail industries, she has worked closely within the e-commerce industry in the ANZ and APAC regions.

Previously, Gray headed up marketing with roles at ChannelAdvisor and SLI Systems in Melbourne. Her extensive PR agency experience includes stints at Weber Shandwick in London, Burson-Marsteller in Shanghai and Bite Communications in San Francisco.

Speaking on her appointment, the new VP of marketing, Aparna Gray, said: “Lexer aligns with my own ethos of being single-minded about delivering customer-centric products and services that excite. Its vision to be the retail go-to for data and insight needs is what drew me to this role. It’s fantastic to be working with a successful business that still has a start-up feel with direct access to the founders. We’re in the business of providing solutions for marketers to some really complex issues, and using cutting edge technology has been my passion for the past two decades.”

Having witnessed the exceptional growth in the online retail tech industry since arriving in the region in 2010, Gray believes Australia as a test-bed for brands is only going to grow as homegrown success stories like Lexer compete with US and European platforms on the global stage.

Gray was nominated as a Yotpo Amazing Women in e-Commerce Honoree in 2021 and 2022, and received the nomination for Industry Person of the Year at VIP Awards in 2021.
