Liar, Liar makes Podcast Ranker top 3 as Hamish and Andy hold top spot
LiSTNER’s (SCA) Hamish & Andy and Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime held onto a strong lead, again maintaining their top two positions in the Triton Digital Podcast Ranker for May 2022, with Liar, Liar: Melissa Caddick and the Missing Millions (ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia) outdoing its top 10 debut last month, rising three spots up to third position.
The top three podcasts were the same across both the Top 100 Ranker and Top 100 All-Australian Ranker, with listeners slightly up on last month. Hamish & Andy pulled in 967,719 monthly listeners, Casefile True Crime reached 942,128 monthly listeners, and Liar, Liar: Melissa Caddick and the Missing Millions bumped up to 591,775 monthly listeners.

Other movements in the top 10 included ARN’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show, which dropped one spot down to fifth place, with 462,247 monthly listeners and 7am, which dropped three spots down to sixth place, with 428,322 listeners. NOVA’s The Update moved up two spots, with 350,345 monthly listeners, while ARN’s Stuff You Should Know and audiochuck’s Crime Junkie each drop one place, with 334,274 and 305,395 monthly listeners, respectively.
Notable moves were also seen outside of the top 10, including Wondery’s My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark jumping up 11 spots to 16th spot, LiSTNER’s The Briefing jumping 9 places up to number 20, NOVA’s Fast Five by Fear and Greed up 34 spots to 23 and LiSTNER’s The Marty Sheargold Show -Triple M Melbourne up 17 spots to 26.
This month’s ranker also including several Top 100 debuts, including The Teacher’s Trial (News Corp Australia), The Front (News Corp Australia), Betrayal (ARN/iHeartMedia), Outspoken the Podcast (ARN/iHeartMedia), CounterClock (audiochuck/Stitcher), and Scamfluencers (Wondery).
Participating publishers in the Australian Ranker include Audioboom, ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia, DM Podcasts, Equity Mates Media, Hidden Brain Media, LiSTNR (SCA), Motorsport Podcast Network, News Corp Australia, Nine, NOVA Entertainment, Podshape, Schwartz Media, Sports Entertainment Network (SEN), Stitcher Media, TOFOP Productions, The Chaser, Wavelength Creative and West Australian Newspapers.
