Chocolate maker Lindt has produced a chocolate replica of Sydney Tower in a stunt to celebrate Easter.
The two-metre chocolate sculpture of the Sydney Tower, which is 1:100 in scale, has been hand-crafted by Thomas Schnetzler, master chocolatier at Lindt Australia.
The creation is the fruit of a partnership between Lindt and Sydney Tower Eye.
The process for the structure began in the Lindt studios in Melbourne in February where bespoke moulds were filled with 12.5kg of dark chocolate to build the turret of the tower.

It then took more than 40 man-hours to finish the sculpture, a process that involved over 300 windows being individually attached to the four floors of the turret and tiny chocolate figures crafted to stand out on the skywalk.
“We are thrilled to be part of this Australian first,” said Ian Wood, general manager of the Sydney Tower Eye. “The finished product has absolutely bowled us over and I hope our visitors will be just as awe-struck by the sculpture. We are so impressed and proud of Thomas’ work and are delighted to have the sculpture with us over Easter and the upcoming school holidays.”
