Lorraine Murphy departs The Remarkables as Natalie Giddings takes sole ownership
The founder and managing director of influencer agency, The Remarkables Group, Lorraine Murphy has left the agency to focus on her speaking, writing and training career leaving business partner Natalie Giddings as the company’s sole owner.
Giddings, the former boss of Mediabrands’ social media agency Society Social, took a stake in the business in March last year and was appointed as a partner of The Remarkables Group.

Now the owner of The Remarkables Group, Giddings departed Society Social in 2016 after over two years in the role.
Prior to her stint at Society Social Giddings was the founder and director of Pollen Marketing.
The Remarkables Group was founded by Murphy in 2012 and in 2016 changed its business model to work directly with brands rather than focusing on influencer representation.
“Starting The Remarkables Group is the best decision I’ve ever made. I have loved growing it to be the entity it is today – and the brand, team and industry friends I’ve made from it. Natalie bought into the business in February 2017 and the last year working together was up there with the most fulfilling and enjoyable of my whole time owning the business.
“She is not just a consummate expert in influencer marketing, she has also brought a wealth of knowledge on the broader media landscape, that has strengthened our brand work no end – particularly as we established ourselves as an independent strategic partner to brands,” Murphy said in a statement.
Giddings said she will miss the “daily companionship” with Murphy but is proud of the business’ efforts over the past 12 months.
“Reflecting on the business since I joined last February, it’s incredible the tremendous amount of ground we broke together in the last 12 months. It’s not every day you get asked to join a business (and be given full permission) to innovate everything in sight.”
The Remarkables Group’s clients include Foxtel, Bupa, Nivea, Nissan, Origin, Westpac, Olay, Nutella and Origin Energy.
Congrats Natalie, a powerhouse and warm-hearted leader, I look forward to seeing how you steer this ship and kudos to Lorraine for taking a bold step towards what truly lights her up, not always an easy thing to do.
