Lovatts Media launches new kids’ magazine, Operation Ouch!

Lovatts Media has launched a new kid’s magazine – Operation Ouch! – based on the BBC TV show of the same name.

The announcement:

Lovatts Media has added another title to its suite of magazines, this time with the aim of teaching children about science, the natural world, and the amazing human body – Operation Ouch magazine.

From the award-winning BBC TV show, Operation Ouch magazine is packed full of articles sharing facts about the incredible human body and the natural world, amazing experiments, and interactive puzzles. Each issue follows the adventures of twin doctors Dr Chris and Dr Xand van Tulleken, and Dr Ronx, as well as their friends Mr Grumbles and Billy Bones, as they explore the fascinating worlds of science, medicine, and human biology. Dr Xand, Dr Chris, and Dr Ronx bring their own brand of humour, personality, and knowledge to engage kids in the world of medicine and the body.

CEO of Lovatts Media Rachael Northey says, “The Operation Ouch! TV show is a huge hit with Australian kids (and their parents!), and with three sold-out live tours, it’s exciting to be able to expand with the launch of this magazine.”

The medical comic format is unlike any other and presents amazing facts about the human body in an engaging, clever, and humorous way, without skipping over important topics. With 27 pages of activities as well as interesting and thought-provoking articles, Operation Ouch magazine encourages young readers to learn more about the world and the science that makes their bodies work.

“The Operation Ouch magazine has been created with kids aged 6-12 in mind, and with the fun experiments and craft projects about the body found within its pages, they can fully immerse themselves in what they’re learning about in a hands-on way.”

Operation Ouch magazine is on sale now in newsagents from January 24, 2022. It will also be available to purchase at Coles supermarkets from February 7, 2022.
