Lucky Lotteries gives cats a voice with translator device giveaway calling for cat memes

First there was cat cam – the dubious offer of a camera that would chart the travels of your cat, courtesy of Whiskas – now Lucky Lotteries is offering cat lovers the opportunity to give their feline friends a voice.

cat-translator-lotteriesThe gaming company is giving away 100 devices which translate the purr into a ‘voice’ that reveals, apparently, what your cat is really thinking.

Lucky Lotteries has also headed down the perilous path of asking people to send in their cat memes for a chance to win one of the cat translators.

And it didn’t take long for Donald Trump to make an appearance in the thread of memes.

Lotteries has also gone to great lengths to make sure cat lovers are not duped into thinking it actually interprets what the cat is thinking.

“Only your cat knows what it’s really thinking. The Lucky Translator is an electronic device triggered by combinations of frequency, volume and duration of a cat’s sound,” the disclaimer states.

“When switched on, it uses a microphone to listen to ambient sounds and plays back one of eight pre-recorded ‘translations’. While it has an element of logical audio playback (based on large assumptions), it is primarily intended for the amusement of cat lovers, so the ‘translations’ are just a bit of fun. For now.
