Luv-A-Duck pays homage to classic 80s movie Say Anthing in new ad
Duck meat brand Luv-A-Duck has paid homage to the iconic 1980s film, Say Anything, in its latest campaign.
The scene in which John Cusack’s character Lloyd holds a boombox under the window of Ione Skye’s Diane has been replicated in the ad with a plate of duck competing with the boombox.
The campaign was created by Melbourne agency Disegno.
Senior account director, Kenneth Chow, said in a statement: “We’re thrilled to work with Luv-A-Duck in taking the brand further than it’s ever been. It doesn’t matter if it’s for friends, family, or even yourself, we recognised that a delicious duck dish always makes a statement.”
George Dimkin, Luv-a-Duck marketing manager, said in the press release: “This campaign marks a new direction for the brand to stand out from the crowd. When we try to impress someone, there’s an undeniable element of competition. When it comes to the meals that matter, being ‘Simply Impressive’ is simple when you impress with duck.”
The campaign will be executed across television, digital, social media and in-store. Media planning will be completed by Cole Media.
