Maggie Dence receives Equity Lifetime Achievement Award

Actoris organisation Equity is to award Maggie Dence – veteran of some of Australia’s bets known TV soaps – the organisation’s Lifetime Achievement Award.  

Dence played Rose Sullivan in the Sullivans, Bev ‘The Beast’ Baker in Prisoner and Dorothy Burke in Neighbours.

As well as her screen career, the award recognises Dence’s work for the Actors Benevolent Fund.

Actors Equity president Simon Burke said; “Maggie has delighted both audiences and fellow performers over many decades creating unforgettable characters in Australian television series.”

The award will be presented next month.
