Mamamia launches new podcast with Huggies

Mamamia has launched a new podcast which looks at identity and motherhood. In partnership with Huggies, Me After You tries to help the 68% of women who say nothing could have prepared them for being a parent.

The announcement:

“Who the hell am I now that I am a Mum?” is a question women with kids under four will be familiar with. She might have fought hard to be a mother, it might be the most fulfilling role she’s ever had, but still, it’s a question she finds herself grappling with all the time.

Huggies and Mamamia have created Me After You. A highly empathetic new podcast series that explores personal stories of identity and motherhood. Hosted by Laura Byrne, the episodes cover themes of, family, relationships, work and career, body image, acceptance, selfcare, travel, hope, friendship and more. Each week Laura will share stories from mums who have lived some of their lives in the public eye, like Teresa Palmer, Narelda Jacobs, Alex Nation and mums who you might not know but who have incredible stories to tell.

Lauren Crawley, Head of Marketing at Huggies, commented: “It’s Huggies’ mission for every mother to feel as comfortable in their skin, as their baby’s skin feels in Huggies nappies. We know Mums face many challenges and questions about their identity during every stage of the motherhood journey. We are so pleased to be partnering with the leading network for women, Mamamia, to bring insights, answers and stories of empowerment in the form of an engaging new podcast series, to support and nurture every Mum.”

Holly Wainwright, Mamamia’s Head of Content, said: “One of the reasons for podcasts’ popularity amongst women is how conveniently they slot into her life, and this collaboration with Huggies is just so on point. We’re thrilled to be helping mothers feel seen, heard and understood at this profound time of their lives, using every strength of the podcast medium.“

Me After You’s ten episodes will drop weekly from July 22nd at mamamia.com.au/podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Promotional support includes Huggies’ owned channels, and Mamamia’s site, socials, eDMs and podcast network.

Mamamia is the leader in Australia when it comes to co-creating bespoke podcast series to build what brands stand for in the minds of audiences. Other bespoke podcast partners of Mamamia include Westpac, Diageo, Elevit and Subaru.
