Man of Many taps Medium Rare for new commercial director

Man of Many has appointed Medium Rare Content Agency’s former national advertising manager, Elliot Barsby, as commercial director.

Barsby joins the digital publication with more than ten years experience in media and sales, across a number of travel and media brands including Australian Traveller, International Traveller, Foxtel, QantasLink and most recently Qantas Magazine and Travel Insider. He joined the News Corp Australia-owned Medium Rare in 2017.

Barsby has been replaced at Medium Rare by Sarah Harding, who rejoins the business after several years exploring other opportunities, and taking a year of maternity leave.

In the new role he will lead Man of Many’s commercial strategy, sales and partnerships division.

“Over the years I’ve been impressed by Man of Many’s achievements and proven track record of delivering strong commercial results,” said Barsby. “I’m delighted to be joining the team and I look forward to working on new and exciting opportunities for our clients as the company heads into the next phase of its evolution.”

Man of Many co-founder, Frank Arthur, said: “At Man of Many, trust is at the core of everything we do. Over the past decade, this has allowed us to build a loyal audience and establish strong partnerships with the brands we work with. We’re thrilled to have Elliott on board as he brings a wealth of experience in developing long-term client relationships and implementing effective commercial strategies that benefit both clients and audiences alike.

“In 2023 we’ll continue to innovate and grow Man of Many by exploring new commercial opportunities that extend beyond the traditional offerings of a media publication. We’re excited to unveil a range of new initiatives such as expanding our e-commerce platform, rolling out a calendar of live events and unique experiences, releasing a new podcast catalogue and so much more.”

Man of Many achieved 100% carbon neutral certification in September, just several months ahead of its tenth anniversary in market.
