Marc Edward Agency launches communications division

Experiential agency, Marc Edward Agency, has launched a communications division with founding client YesTelco Australia.

The new communication division’s offering includes PR but Nigel Hickey, managing director at Marc Edward Agency, told Mumbrella the agency will still also engage external PR companies.

Hickey said the new offering will amplify the teams actions space

“It’s a tool that will now amplify our team in the activations space, there are three really core pillars, people, activations and communications,” he said.

“The business can work in unison, the three offerings can either work together really nicely or they’ll work independently.

“We still activate for PR agencies and we also still have PR agencies that will amplify our activations, so we work two fold,” Hickey said.

The new communications division’s offering includes PR, social media, influencer, content, digital, virtual reality and new technologies.

“The strategy is key for us, our recent PR wins have been around the strategy and the idea that we have created, we are not trying to be different we are just trying to be genuine to what we believe is right for the client and deliver that in a high-quality way from a service and execution perspective,” Hickey said.

“Obviously that strategy and creative and then looking at how that’s delivered through content, though traditional media and obviously through other new channels.”

Hickey said the new division was a “natural evolution” for the Marc Edward Agency.

“Eventually what we’ve been doing would evolve into a more traditional PR space, obviously at the front of an experience we are already talking to consumers and delivering key messaging so it was a natural evolution of the brand,” Hickey added.

Account director Emma Mumford will be heading up the agency’s communications division.
