Mark Communications boss Ro Markson steps down
Ro Markson, CEO of the Photon Group-owned PR agency Mark Communicationsis to leave at the end of this week. She will be replaced by former Daemon Group and Hausmann group account director Michelle Richings.
In an email to contacts Markson said: “This is to let you know that I’m starting a new chapter in my working life by leaving Mark Communications when my contract with The Photon Group ends on September 30. It’s been an incredible ride. When Photon bought my company three years ago, we were a vibrant but tiny PR firm with a small staff and a few loyal clients. Since then we’ve grown into one of Australia’s top PR and publicity firms with 40 clients and a team of 16 dynamic publicists.”
Markson said: “Michelle has the drive and talent to take Mark to the next level.”
Richings joined Mark in August.
Markson said she would shortly announce a new venture which she will be heading up. it will also be within the communications industry, but not public relations, she said.
Tim Burrowes founded Mumbrella in 2008. He worked on Mumbrella until 2021. At various points he was editor, content director and editor-at-large.
