Marketforce named master media agency for WA Local Government Association

Perth-based agency Marketforce has won the master media advertising contract for the Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) following a competitive tender process and will continue to be the master media agency responsible for WA local government advertising.

The group advertising services contract is available to all WALGA members and associate members across all media platforms including TV, radio, out of home, print/newspapers, online, social and cinema.

Through the contract, local governments can use a single point of contact for booking and placing all advertising, which will allow them to maximise collective purchasing savings, according to Marketforce.

WALGA CEO, Nick Sloan said the Association was pleased the tender process confirmed the merits of the existing arrangement.

“Following a rigorous tender process, we are pleased to continue our strong relationship with Marketforce. Their knowledge of the local government sector and its advertising requirements are second to none and we look forward to evolving the contract over this new term to achieve the greatest benefit for our members,” said Sloan.

Marketforce strategic client director Brad Haseldine said the agency was happy to be continuing its business with WALGA.

“We are extremely proud of our long-standing partnership with both WALGA and its individual members. Our dedicated account service team work tirelessly to deliver quality service to all 139 councils, often within super tight deadlines. This is a significant win for the agency, and we look forward to growing and strengthening our work with the local government sector over the coming years.”

A member of the Clemenger BBDO network, Marketforce saw former Carat Perth managing director Adam Marshall brought on as CEO of it and OMD in March 2018, after Paul Everingham left the role after seven months and John Driscoll left in June 2017 for Seven West Media.
