The Marketing Arm opens in Melbourne

Matched agenda marketing specialist The Marketing Arm will open in Melbourne this week.

The announcement:

Matched agenda marketing specialist The Marketing Arm will open its doors in Melbourne this week.

ormerly part of Creative Activation, The Marketing Arm is a stand-alone entity creating promotional and shopper marketing campaigns by focussing on crucial path-to-purchase strategy for its clients.

Managing director Marcus Ingleby explains, “Matched agenda marketing means we bring all sides of the equation together for our clients. We create strategies to simultaneously meet the needs of the brand, the retailer and the shopper.”

Ingleby says clients have an increasing level of frustration with retailers knocking back their in-store promotional ideas.

“Great manufacturers understand how to grow their brands. But retailers are telling us they are looking for partners who know how to grow the category as a whole.

“For the shopper, it’s about creating something unexpected which catches the corner of their eye and takes them out of auto pilot,” he added.

Being part of the Clemenger Group means brands are at the heart of everything The Marketing Arm does; their work is not sales-driving nor retailer-pleasing activity at the expense of the brand.

“We are not in the business of throwing the baby out with the bath water,” said Ingleby.

Clients include Fonterra, MARS pet food and snack food, CUB, Treasury Wine Estates, SPC, SCA, Bupa and Bic.

Creative Activation will still exist as the people-focussed business including merchandising staff, sales teams, brand ambassadors, mystery shoppers, retail auditing and voice of customer solutions to help clients achieve retail excellence, accelerated sales & customer engagement.
