Masterchef rules evenings as Today pulls in second morning win over Sunrise

Ten’s Masterchef was the clear ratings winner on Thursday night, pulling in a healthy 1.532m.

The only other entertainment show to bring in more than 1m was Seven’s Home & Away, which rated 1.062m according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.  

Seven and Nine’s 6pm bulletins and current affairs shows – Seven News, Nine News, Today Tonight and A Current Affair – were the only other programming to deliver 1m+ audiences.

Nine’s next best performer was The Big Bang Theory with 870,000.

There was better fortune for Nine in the morning schedule though. For the second time in just over a week, the Today Show (365,000) beat Seven’s Sunrise (342,000).
