MasterChef wins primetime entertainment slot while Seven takes Tuesday

Ten’s MasterChef topped primetime entertainment on Tuesday, however it was Seven which celebrated an overall network share win.

The episode aired to a metro audience of 533,000 metro viewers, while also winning key advertising demo, 16-39.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 24 May, Sunday’s Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.614 million viewers, including 42,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%. The biggest uplift of the week was an episode of The Rookie on Seven with an uplift of 77% and aired to a total audience of 394,000.

Looking at Tuesday’s ratings, Home and Away was next, pulling in a metro audience of 469,000, followed by Celebrity Apprentice on Nine which saw 411,000 tune in.

Big Brother on Seven brought in 306,000, while The Project 7pm on Ten had 375,000 metro viewers.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Tuesday with 1.008 million metro viewers followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 948,000 metro viewers. Nine News had 872,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine News at 6:30 which had an average of 848,000 metro viewers. ABC News brought in 734,000.

Nine News at 6:30 won key advertising demos, 18-49s, and 25-54s.

As mentioned, Seven won the night, taking an overall network share of 26.7% over Nine’s 25,6%, while Ten took a 20.2% share and the ABC had 16.7%.

Seven also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Tuesday was 7TWO with a share of 4.7%.
