May’s Biggest Brand Movers revealed

Jetstar has topped YouGov’s Biggest Brands Movers list for May, as a result of fellow airline Bonza going into administration.

It made moves in nine out of 13 BrandIndex metrics, across all three categories – Media and Communication (Ad Awareness, WOM Exposure, Buzz), Brand Perception (Corporate Reputation, Customer Satisfaction, Recommendation) and Purchase Funnel (Consideration, Purchase Intent, Current Customer).

Having stepped in to fly affected passengers at no additional cost after all Bonza flights were suddenly suspended, Jetstar was positively received by Australian consumers, according to YouGov.

The Qantas subsidiary also celebrate its 20th anniversary with domestic flights sales, as well as international flights sales between Australia and Japan.

“By providing seats to recently stranded airline passengers, Jetstar has proven its reliability and dedication to the flyer experience,” said Laura Robbie, APAC CEO of YouGov.

“This has been recognised by Australians, and has been reflected in our customer satisfaction metrics, allowing the airline to top YouGov’s Biggest Brand Mover list for May.”

Nivea, which topped the list in December, was second in May, making gains in six metrics across the three categories.
