M&C Saatchi appoints Russell Hopson as group MD
Russell Hopson has joined M&C Saatchi as group managing director across Australia.
Hopson joins the agency from Adam&Eve DDB in the UK where he was a group managing director for almost two years.
Hopson said: “The Group’s capabilities and scale put it on par with anywhere
else in the world right now”
he will need to be very good, really tough/thick skinned and incredibly lucky to be successful in this job.
He’s never worked in Australia before and he’s dropping into an agency with a highly demanding and idiosyncratic boss, no CCO and managing a viper’s nest with warring political factions in every direction
meanwhile the agency lost it’s second biggest client last year, has senior people leaving in droves and hasn’t produced a decent campaign in memory
