M&C Saatchi Group scoops up media and creative for superfund

Australian Retirement Trust has named M&C Saatchi Group’s Bohemia and M&C Saatchi as the superfund’s creative and media agencies of record.

The agency selection process was facilitated by TrinityP3, with the decision made based on the value of consolidating the accounts within one agency group.

Australian Retirement Trust was formed in 2022 through the merger of Sunsuper and QSuper, now taking care of $200 billion in retirement savings for over two million members.

Bohemia CEO, Paul Hutchison said: “We are proud to be appointed as the new media agency for Australian Retirement Trust. The process led by Australian Retirement Trust and TrinityP3 demonstrated huge ambition and excitement about the future growth potential for the super fund and inspired us to hand-craft communications solutions that will help the business scale, fast. Our team came together to create distinctive work and we can’t wait to partner with our group friends at M&C Saatchi and Australian Retirement Trust to activate the plans and ideas that won this highly competitive pitch.”

M&C Saatchi AUNZ CEO, Michel McEwan, added: “We are incredibly grateful and motivated to partner with Australian Retirement Trust. Throughout our time together, we got a real sense of Australian Retirement Trust’s appetite for creativity and ambition to support their members. With over two million members and growing, Australian Retirement Trust is making a positive difference to people right across Australia. It’s also been a lot of fun working side by side with the Bohemia team.”

Last month, M&C Saatchi promoted Jayne Brady to general manager of its Melbourne office, reporting into McEwan, who was appointed as CEO in November as part of ongoing restructures at the agency. Bohemia’s Hutchison also arrived at the M&C group media agency last year, while the group’s ANZ CEO, Justin Graham, was handed a global remit in February, as the agency group’s new global head of advertising network.
