McGrath Foundation hires fundraising gun
The McGrath Foundation has appointed fundraising specialist Georgina King to the new role of director of fundraising and philanthropy.

Fundraising specialist, Georgina King has been appointed to the newly created role of Director of Fundraising & Philanthropy at the McGrath Foundation, responsible for driving new growth as the Foundation enters its tenth anniversary year.
McGrath Foundation CEO, Petra Buchanan, welcomed the appointment of Georgina noting her strong track record in direct marketing, data marketing strategy and relationship marketing for leading Australian not-for-profits.
“Georgina has worked extensively in the fundraising and direct marketing space and has over 14 years’ experience at organisations including the Heart Foundation, Taronga Zoo and the Cancer Council. In this new role she will sit on the executive management team and oversee all fundraising and philanthropy initiatives including our current events and corporate relationships.
“As we look to diversify our fundraising streams Georgina’s tremendous experience will be integral in helping achieve this. Georgina stood out as the ideal candidate due to her passion and drive and we are thrilled to be welcoming her into the McGrath Foundation family,” said Buchanan.
Georgina’s appointment comes as the Foundation announces a newly restructured executive management team under the leadership of Buchanan.
Former Chief Operating Officer, Jane Mahony has taken on the role of Mission Program Director overseeing the McGrath Breast Care Nurse Program and evolving the Foundation’s breast education and awareness programs. While former Finance Director, Brent Pitts, moves into the expanded role of Finance & Commercial Director with additional responsibilities overseeing all commercial, legal and IT activity.
They are joined by Human Resources Director & Company Secretary Jo Molchanoff new Media & Communications Senior Manager Jackie Quilter and McGrath Foundation Ambassador & Director Tracy Bevan.
“As we enter this new phase I am confident that our dedicated, experienced and passionate team will drive the McGrath Foundation forward, while continuing to build on our reputation and the services we provide to the community,” Buchanan continued.
