Mediacom wins NRMA
Carat has lost another major piece of business to Mediacom with the switch of the NRMA Motoring and Services media account, worth around $9m.
July saw Yum Brands – which includes KFC and Pizza Hut – switch from Carat to Mediacom.
Mediacom puts its new business wins for 2010 – also including Blackmores and IAG – at $127m.
Andrew Livingston, joint head of client communications and planning at Mediacom, said: “We are delighted to be working with NRMA Motoring and Services and partnering with such a well respected brand.”
The appointment is effective from next month.
Oh dear, another one bites the dust at Carat. There can’t be too much left? Staff morale must be at an all time low in Walsh Bay (what’s left of them, that is). WPP must be rubbing their hands together in glee with the pending Aegis/Mitchells merger. All those accounts to poach from the “new Carat”!

Could you clarify that this win is for the buying only.

Sad loss for Carat. They are a brilliant agency and have had a solid team working their hearts out on the NRMA business despite having to deal with the shambolic NRMA marketing team. As for NRMA? Good luck. You’re going to need it moving to Mediacom.
