MediaMonks adds international talent in Australia

MediaMonks, the creative digital production arm of S4 Capital, has announced a string of new senior hires as business conditions improve in Australia.

Kean Ewards has joined MediaMonks to take on the role of experience design director from Atlassian where he was lead experience designer. He has more than nine years of experience with leading global creative agencies including AnalogFolk in London, Havas and Razorfish in Australia.


Matt Grogan joins the agency as digital creative director from AnalogFolk in Sydney where he was creative director and partner. Prior to this, he was at Tribal DDB and The White Agency.

Senior UX designer Sophia McDermott joins the Australian outfit after time at MediaMonks in Amsterdam. Before she joined MediaMonks she was at Khemistry and GrowthOps. Also returning to Australia from Amsterdam is Sophia Feary, who joins as senior producer from Adidas. She was at 303 Mullenlowe and Digitas in her previous roles.

MediaMonks solutions strategy APAC lead, Andrew Davenport, said of the hires: “With this next tranche of new hires we’re continuing to expand our service expertise here in Australia. We are already the leading Platinum Adobe Solution Partner in the market and so strengthening our design practice will help us meet the growing demand of brands for an end-to-end solution to drive new experiences and ROI.”

MediaMonks ANZ managing director, Vinne Schifferstein, added: “We have a great mix of people from different backgrounds; culturally, skills- and career-wise. This allows us to reflect society and the diversity of our clients, and make relevant work that truly connects with audiences.”

MediaMonks Australia has been working with brands such as ANZ, NAB and the University of New South Wales on digital transformation. The outfit also works with technology clients such as Google.
