Melbourne’s Metro Trains signs outdoor deals with APN Outdoor and JC Decaux

APN Outdoor and JC Decaux have won contracts with Metro Trains Melbourne to provide advertising signage across the network.

APN will manage a total of 270 trackside and roadside advertising panels located across the MTM rail network, while JC Decaux will provide small format advertising signage in the seven year contract.

APN Outdoor will retain its current concession to manage 190 existing advertising panels and will also manage an additional 40 existing panels. APN will also built a further 40 new trackside Super 6 (6m x 3m) billboards.

Richard Herring, CEO at APN Outdoor, said: “We’re thrilled to retain and expand our existing partnership with Metro Trains Melbourne. The development of new trackside billboards enables us to expand our current rail solution and offer more choice to advertising clients”.

As part of the deal with JC Decaux, the outdoor company will install new digital sites.

JCDecaux will offer a range of advertising formats including Citylight panels at more than 200 stations, a digital screen concourse network, “station domination” and sampling.
