Melbourne radio ratings: Russ and Ross maintain 10% lead while drive race heats up

The second GfK radio ratings survey of the year in Melbourne saw business as usual as Nine Radio’s 3AW continued to lead the pack, however, FoxFM’s breakfast trio continued their charge.

The survey referred to the period of 5 February to 25 February, and 26 February until 1 April, which includes significant overlap with the dates of survey one of the year.

Fifi, Fev and Nick continue a strong start

3AW maintained a 16.3% share overall to lead the market, dropping from 16.6% last book, while GoldFM remained in second place with an 11.6% share, the biggest drop in the market, down 0.8 percentage points.

SmoothFM jumped to third, rising 0.4 percentage points to a 9.7% share, while FoxFM dropped back from 9.8% to 9.3%.

The chasing pack sees Kiis, Nova and Triple M fighting for share, respectively on 6.5%, 6.4% and 6.2%, with ABC Melbourne also on 6.5%. Nova was the largest faller, dropping 0.7 percentage points.
