Michelin Man returns to screens in new ad campaign
Michelin, the tyre brand, is launching the first ad campaign created by Whybin\TBWA\Tequila Melbourne since TBWA Worldwide won the global account last year.
The new campaign for Michelin’s Green X fuel saving tyres will launch on TV this weekend, with print, online and below-the-line activities due to roll out nationally in March.
The ads will aim to widen the brand’s target audience of car enthusiasts, to appeal to the wider community of car owners. The brand’s long-running Michelin Man character will star in the animated TV ad.
The Michelin Man will also appear in in-game advertising, Facebook, online news sites and press ads.
Adam Storey, communications and marketing manager for Michelin Australia, said: “Evolving the original Michelin Man into a modern setting we can educate and inform our consumers by highlighting the cost savings and longevity of the product through the TVC’s storyline.”

Was this created by Whybin TBWA Melbourne or is this adapted from overseas?
The press release is a little confusing.
It’s adapted from work created last year by TBWA\Chiat\Day, New York: http://www.campaignbrief.com/2.....y-thi.html
Pretty desperate PR – promoting work adapted from OS.
Why did they credit themselves as creatives / creative directors?
