Mindshare appoints Helena Snowdon to Melbourne MD role after Tim Skellern’s departure
Media agency Mindshare has appointed Helena Snowdon as its new Melbourne managing director, replacing Tim Skellern who left in April.
Skellern has since moved to BSBR Consulting to be managing director.
Snowdown previously worked at iProspect as its global new business director and global steering board member for over four years.
Prior to her stint at iProspect she was the global marketing and new business director at Maxus.
In other appointments, Mindshare has promoted Sarah Thom to general manager. Thom was previously a client leader at Mindshare for three and a half years.
Snowdon said in a statement: “I’m genuinely thrilled to be returning to my GroupM family and to be taking up the helm of Mindshare in Melbourne. Together, I know Katie, Sarah, the team and I have a great adventure ahead of us, shaping and evolving the agency’s solutions with an absolute commitment to excellence, integrity, and our brilliant people.”
Thom said: “I’m particularly excited to be working closely with Helena, to build on our strong foundations and continue to grow and develop as an agency that is strategic, innovative and provocative.”
Both Thom and Snowdon start their new roles today.
Katie Rigg-Smith, CEO of Mindshare Australasia, said: “Helena brings with her a fresh perspective, unique point of view and an energy that I am confident will continue to drive our Melbourne office forward. Having worked with Mindshare in the past she is also very well versed in our values and overall approach as an agency.
“Sarah has been an integral part of Melbourne Mindshare since she started over three years ago. I have had the privilege of working closely with her and cannot think of anyone better to step into the newly created role of general manager. Between Helena and Sarah we have a formidable duo that I am really looking forward to working with.”
