Mindshare hires Evelina Lye from Omnicom Media as marketing manager
Mindshare has hired its first marketing manager.
Evelina Lye joins from Omnicom Media Group in Singapore, where she was regional marketing, communications and new business manager.
Her brief is to build on the momentum Mindshare has gained since the arrival of CEO James Greet and the agency’s massive Unilever win in February.
Her role will cover PR for the agency as well as marketing and new business.
Before Lye’s appointment, MediaCom – an agency twice the size of Mindshare – was the only GroupM agency with a staff member dedicated to this function.
Lye’s background is in events, having started her career at Haymarket in the UK as a conference producer.
She moved to Asia in 2008 to set up the events division for Haymarket Asia under trade titles Media – now Campaign Asia – and Digital Media. She moved to Omnicom in 2009.
so if she is responsible for new business what will all the other people do?

MS used to have this role in the Walton years – it was a good resource to have in terms of helping with award submissions and giving pitches added flair. Good to see groupm investing in it again.
