Mindshare wins $40m Unilever pitch

After taking its account to pitch in April this year, FMCG giant Unilever Australia and New Zealand has brought it home to GroupM’s Mindshare.

Mindshare previously held the $40m account, before it moved to Omnicom’s PHD in 2015.

A Unilever spokesperson told Mumbrella: “After a comprehensive tender process, Unilever Australia and New Zealand has appointed Mindshare as its media agency, effective January 2024.

“The tender was part of a periodic global review of Unilever’s media agencies in many markets to ensure best in class media agency partnerships.”

At the time of the pitch, Unilever told Mumbrella: “We are undertaking media agency reviews in many of our markets. This is part of our standard process to periodically review to ensure best in class media agency partnerships.”

The company houses brands including Lynx, Dove, Ben & Jerry’s, Persil and more.

Mumbrella understands the purpose driven approach from Unilever aligns with Mindshare’s ‘Good Growth’ positioning in market.

Mindshare did not provide a comment.
