Montu strengthens comms team with two senior appointments
Australian medical cannabis company Montu has made two senior communications appointments, as it looks to assert itself as a trusted voice and industry leader.
Montu has promoted Adam Bell and appointed Tristan Everett to its comms and advocacy function, designed to support its broader mission of transforming access to care.
Bell has been with Montu since November last year as corporate comms lead, but this month has been promoted to director of comms.

Adam Bell
He has over two decades of experience across government, corporate affairs, and journalism, including senior corporate comms roles at Accolade Wines and The Coca-Cola Company, and reporter roles at The Guardian UK and News Corp Australia. He also previously served as press secretary to the NSW Attorney-General and Minister for Health.
Jodie Thomas, Montu’s VP of patient advocacy and corporate affairs, said he brings a “rare combination” of strategy, creativity, and media instincts to the role.
“His experience at the intersection of global brand building, regulatory affairs and stakeholder engagement makes him a natural fit for Montu at this stage of our growth,” she said.
Everett will join Bell’s team, as its new senior manager of corporate comms.
He also has years of experience under his belt, including leading comms and issues management functions across some of Australia’s biggest brands and consultancies, like NAB, Mercer, General Motors Holden, GE, and Edelman.

Tristan Everett
Most recently, he spent nearly three years as an executive director of media and comms at Automic Group.
“Tristan’s track record in multichannel communications in complex operating environments speaks for itself,” Thomas said.
She said Everett has a great understanding of the nuance of healthcare communications, as well as the importance of building trust in such a scrutinised sector.
“He’ll be instrumental as we continue to lead the way on policy, safety and transparency.”
