‘More shows than ever’: Live Nation brings back On The Steps for 2024
Live Nation’s On The Steps music extravaganza is returning for 2024 with an impressive lineup of artists.
Scheduled to run from November 26 to December 10 at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt, On The Steps is expected to gather “global music fans” to partake in top-tier entertainment delivered by music artists from Australia and around the world.
British indie rock act, Glass Animals, will kick start the event, with other acts booked to take to the stage include Tones And I, Troye Sivan, Richard Marx and Tina Arena, Two Door Cinema Club & Declan McKenna, Brooke Fraser with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and Missy Higgins.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be bringing our annual On The Steps series back to the Sydney Opera House Forecourt,” said Live Nation Australia promoter, Mike Ross.
“This year features more shows than ever, which is testament to the enthusiasm we see from fans to attend concerts here, and the interest from artists to perform in such a globally recognisable location. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in November.”
The 2024 run for On The Steps is partnering with Support Act – a charity dedicated to providing wellbeing, crisis relief and mental health support to the music industry’s companies, workers, managers, crew and musicians.
The partnership supports an initiative that will see Live Nation match “all donations made through the On The Steps golden ticket promotion and other efforts to be announced”.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Live Nation for this truly epic series of concerts on the steps of the much-loved Sydney Opera House,” contributed Support Act’s chief executive officer, Clive Miller.
“It’s a wonderful celebration of Australian and international music and a great opportunity to raise funds to support music workers who are doing it tough, especially in the lead up to Christmas. We look forward to being part of this wonderful concert series.”
