‘More than a 100’ jobs to go at Ten
Ten is to axe more than a hundred staff next week, according to a report in The Australian.
Staff in sales and programming, as well as people within outdoor advertising division Eye Corp are to lose their jobs as part of a strategic review by interim CEO Lachlan Murdoch.
The move follows the resignation of news director Jim Carroll, who is reported to have quit because he took issue with the direction Ten was taking under Murdoch.
A Ten spokesperson told Mumbrella: “As we announced on 7 April at our half year results, a strategic cost restructuring of the business is underway. This has been widely commented on in the press, and the process is well known to the market, and to our people. That process is still underway.”
