Mashable: 11 cars help astronaut’s daughter deliver a message to him in space
With our extremely connected, information-rich world, it can be tough to make one piece of communication stand out from the rest.
But with help from a car company and some stunt drivers, an astronaut’s daughter was able to send a simple but heart-warming message to her father, who was at work in the International Space Station — one he couldn’t miss.
The project, which took place on January 18, was used to advertise the Hyundai Genesis, and also broke the Guinness World Record for “the largest tire track image,” measuring 59,808,480.26 square feet.

For those people in production … how would they have got rid of the tyre tracks between the letters so that they appeared to be discrete letters? I imagine they would have had people raking the sand or something. Anyone know?
