The HBO show created a new mascot for Philip Morris International called ‘Jeff the diseased lung in a cowboy hat’ in a large segment looking at the impact of plain packaging laws in Australia and around the world, and how tobacco companies are trying to stop them spreading around the world.

Marketing Mag: Guardian Labs MD: We can’t afford to jeopardise trust with native ads

The Guardian’s native ads division, Guardian Labs, has already rejected a “fair number” of brands during its first year of operations because they do not fit with the newspaper’s ethos.

Speaking to Marketing, Guardian Labs MD Anna Watkins said it was “vital” to partner with authentic brands which would not alienate readers.

As Old Spice took to Grand Central Terminal this week to promote its latest line of nature-inspired scents, we caught up with brand spokesman Terry Crews to get his thoughts on personal branding.

The key, says the ad icon and  “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” host, is to simply embrace who you are. That approach has helped him succeed in a wide range of roles, from NFL linebacker and movie star to bodywash pitchman and game show host.

Various men go on what looks like your average coffee shop date with a pretty woman. After some chit-chat, she invites them to take a ride in her new Mustang, which she seems a bit uncomfortable driving (it’s stick).
