samuel crispinAdAge: Samuel Crispin, Founder of Agency That Became CP&B, Dies at 90

Samuel Crispin, one of the founders of the agency that later became CP&B, has died. He was 90.

Mr. Crispin is best known for founding what would eventually become one of the hottest agencies in the mid-2000s. He began his career in 1949 at Grant Advertising and later moved to Miami to open an office for Arthur Mogge Advertising. He bought that shop and renamed it Samuel B. Crispin and Associates in 1965.

NY Times: Al Jazeera America Chief Is Ousted After Turmoil

Al Jazeera America announced on Wednesday that it was replacing its chief executive, Ehab Al Shihabi, who had held that position since the network’s founding two years ago.

It was the latest move in what had already been a tumultuous week for the network. Since last week, three top officials have announced their departures from the company and another former employee has sued the network, claiming wrongful termination. One of the executives who departed, Marcy McGinnis, told The New York Times in an article published on Tuesday that Mr. Al Shihabi had meddled with news decisions and fostered a “culture of fear” in the newsroom.

Campaign:  Xbox “#HuntTheTruth” by McCann London

Microsoft’s Xbox has launched another interactive experience for hardcore Halo fans ahead of the release of the new edition of one of the biggest game franchises in history.

McCann London created the global campaign for Halo 5: Guardians, in which clues are dropped in TV ads, cinema spots and digital and outdoorexecutions that allow users to solve a crossplatform puzzle. The winner will be made into a Halo character. The work was created by Jamie Mietz and Sanjiv Mistry, with production by B-Reel.
