MRN launches radio advertising showcase
Macquarie Radio Network has launched a website that provides media buyers with a showcase for reaching ‘mature affluent’ radio listeners.
MRN has called the platform the first of its kind in Australia, and is an early step towards advertisers buying and reviewing radio online, Mark Noakes, MRN’s sales director, noted.
The site, called BuyRadio, includes content synopses, audio grabs, ad rates and market coverage for the network’s top rating shows.
“BuyRadio delivers the programme schedule by advertiser segments, as opposed to time-slot, so advertisers can identify where their product or service would find the most appropriate audience,” Noakes explained.
Mat Baxter, CEO of Universal McCann, welcomed the launch, saying that BuyRadio could help speed up the radio buying process.
“Historically finding and then sifting through station information has been a fairly slow and tedious process. Now there’s a central place to get programme synopsis, rates and other useful planning information. That means you can plan your activities faster and take full advantage of radio’s speed and flexibility.”
Reach more bigots than with any other radio network. Our listeners are shit scared, choose our network if you sell security equipment or mace.
Case Study: “Cronulla Sports Shop has been selling baseball bats in the shire for over four decades and 2GB assisted us in increasing our sales by over 400%in the last few years.”

So… a brand new website that encourages you to buy stuff, but doesn’t enable you to do so through the website?
It’s not just their personalities’ opinions that are stuck in the past.
