MTV Australia launches MTV jobs platform

MTV Australia has unveiled its new jobs arm – MTV Jobs – which will aim to provide millennials with resources to land a creative role.

The announcement:

MTV Australia has today launched a new jobs pillar – MTV Jobs – dedicated to providing millennials with all the resources needed to help land their dream creative job.

The section is live on MTV.com.au from today and is supported by REST Industry Super.

MTV Jobs is a bold new destination for job-seeking millennials to launch in Australia, and features native content, inspirational career articles as well as wide array of interview tips and tricks and how-to’s and hacks to help land your next career.

With an average of 5 million monthly page views and 774,000 monthly UB’s*, MTV.com.au is one of the highest-ranking digital destinations for Aussie youth. MTV.com.au is part of the global MTV brand which reaches more than half a billion households worldwide.

The launch of the new pillar follows a successful campaign earlier in 2017 which saw MTV and REST partner to produce a three part content series about inspirational young entrepreneurs and how they got to where they are.

“As the leading media brand for today’s youth, MTV.com.au continues to innovate when it comes to producing content destinations,” said Simon Bates, VP of MTV Asia Pacific.

“Research from Viacom International Insights showed that young people are not at all entirely happy with their current jobs. Many feel like schedule slaves and are frustrated by the rigid structure of their 9-5 jobs, repetitive assignments and fixed work locations,”

“The launch of MTV Jobs is just another example of our brand listening to our audience and providing them with a gold-standard response to their needs,” he added.

“As a leading super fund, REST is focused on finding new and innovate ways to help our  members secure their financial future, which is why we’re delighted to sponsor MTV Jobs to help passionate and ambitious Millennials land their dream job,” said Mary Atley, General Manager Brand, Marketing and Communications with REST Industry Super.
