I really like Matt.
He gave me and so many others our first break, was ever so polite and humble in this interview about the momentous things he’s done for DDB and has endured so much flack from various industry types so graciously, he’s someone I can truly look up to both on a professional and personal level.
As I know Matt would be squeamish if I said it to him in person, even more so on a blog, I’ll keep this anonymous.
Hope you enjoy Bill Bernbach’s office, you’ve truly earn’t it.

Bill Bernbach’s office? Settle down. The biggest award Matt has ever won as a creative is a Caxton.
All the best Matt. You have worked hard for all your success.

You may not know this, but being a creative director and a senior creative are completely different.
Creative directors pull teeth from several departments to create a beautiful product, and good ones leave each department wanting to come back the next day and have root canal. It’s called people skills vs creative skills.
Senior Creative’s just dish up the teeth.
