Mumbrella Question Time Melbourne: Crikey’s Eric Beecher, Clems’ Peter Biggs, TAC’s John Thompson and Naked’s Frankie Ralston Good

Mumbrella is to hold its first Question Time breakfast in Melbourne later this month.

It takes place on the morning of Thursday October 28. The speakers are John Thompson, senior manager for road safety and marketing at the Transport Accident Commission; Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s MD Peter Biggs; Crikey co-owner Eric Beecher and Naked Communications’ Melbourne MD Frankie Ralston Good.

The TAC has a global reputation for championing brave safety campaigns. Among Thompson’s recent triumphs was TAC’s 20 year retrospective which has gained more than 4m views on YouTube.

Beecher is a former editor of the Sydney Morning Herald and co-owner of Crikey, Business Spectator and Smart Company. He is also won a Walkley in 2007 in reocgnition of his journalistic leadership. This week saw him take The ABC to task for its launch of The Drum.

Biggs is one of the best known advertising agency bosses in Melbourne. Before a career in advertising, he trained as a Catholic priest. He’s been at the helm of Clemenger BBDO Melbourne for just over four years.

Ralston Good has been running the Melbourne office of media strategy shop Naked Communications since September 2008. She was previously a managing partner at media agency PHD in the UK.

The Mumbrella Question Time format sees the four panellists take questions from the audience moderated by Mumbrella editor Tim Burrowes.

The breakfast takes place at Kobe Jones Restaurant, on Docklands Drive in Melbourne. Tickets are $95, with an earlybird price of $80 until the end of this week.
