Mumbrella widens footprint with integration of Encore
Mumbrella has expanded its coverage of the production sector with the integration of the site with sister publication Encore.
Key Encore stories, including those from the screen industry and wider entertainment sector will now appear on the Mumbrella home page, while a more comprehensive set of Encore stories will continue to appear on the Encore home page.
I recently did some work for a very successful digital “start-up” where a director was given the TVC brief and also invited to turn up with his own ideas. He was given equal say in what was chosen to present. No group-head or CD insight. The winning concept was brilliant. Very refreshing to dump the outdated hierarchies that make the big agencies creak and groan. Bringing film and advertising people together makes a lot of sense. Good luck with that.

Ah, well, you’re buggered now. Encore has never said anything substantially critical of anything. As a magazine/website, it’s pure PR pabulum. I expect the signal to noise ratio on Mumbrella to increase dramatically.
