Mumbrella360 venue and dates revealed
Mumbrella’s first major conference – Mumbrella360 – will take place in Sydney on June 7 and 8.
More than 100 individuals, agencies, media owners and industry bodies responded to Mumbrella’s invitation to put themselves forward as session curators.
Voting on those proposals begins today with subscribers to Mumbrella’s daily email invited to have their say.
The curated sessions are just one element of Mumbrella360, which is being staged in four streams at the Hilton in Sydney.
Further announcements about the conference will be made over the next few days.
Do you really expect people to fill out that many pages? I started and dropped off after three when I realised that I’d barely made any progress (in the Progress Bar)

Hey Tim, I don’t know if it’s possible to change now, but IMHO the order of the questions in the survey should be randomised, as I think most folk won’t go through all 100.
Just my two penneth.

Just finished reviewing and voting and it was an epic effort in stages…. I think the randomising idea is worthwhile as I found most of the interesting ones were buried in the middle (roughly). Ratio of about 80% sales pitches and 20% genuinely interesting topics – will be interesting to see if the sales pitches make it through (hope not)

I tried to fill in the questionnaire … after an eternity I was up to the 11th and the progress bar had barely moved so I bailed out. Let’s see if the first proposals score better.

I appreciate the feedback on the survey.
In truth, I don’t expect everybody to fill them out – in the end we had submissions that amounted to around 17,000 words in total.
Even after I had edited them down, there’s still a lot of content there – a far bigger response than we expected.
But I said at the start of the process that we would put the curated sessions up for voting, so I wanted to stick to that commitment. Next time, I’ll find a more streamlined method, of course.
I’m happy to say that a lot of people have already given us their feedback though.
In the last couple of hours we’ve already had over 800 surveys completed (which at I reckon at least half an hour a time is an amazing commitment). And our system tells me there are about another 700 in progress.
Cheers,
Tim – Mumbrella
only took 35mins to complete

I wonder if there is a going to be a session on the art of questionnaire writing 😉

Tim , from my days in academic research there is a science to questionaire writing as you will probably know.
Probably would have been a good idea to get some expert assistance on writing the questionaire – it does not have to be long or hard for people.
Most people have a 5min attention space for surveys maybe more with a brand like Mumbrella but anything more than 10mins is really pushing the envelope.
And if it comes down to it and you end up having to do a 35min survey then an incentive might have worked ($50 voucher to spend on conference admission).
Just a thought. 🙂

I enjoyed filling out the survey. Thought there was some great insight into the various issues within the industry.

Sure it took a while to complete but worth it to vote on what I would like to see..usually you don’t get to do that so I say good one Tim!
