Mumbrellacast: Adland’s leadership shuffle, Today Show’s new line-up, and Australia’s rebranding

It’s our first Mumbrellacast of the year and there’s already a lot to reflect on from the first (not even) two weeks.

The first people moves of 2019 are in, and between agencies, brands and publishers, there is already a lot happening. From Tourism Australia CMO Lisa Ronson’s resignation to join Coles, the promotion of Publicis’ Michael Rebelo, Alex Parsons’ return to Nine, and a re-structure at News Corp, it’s been a busy week.

We look at some of the major changes and what they mean for the businesses involved.

Thanks to some tender-hunting on editor Vivienne Kelly’s part, we’ve also got some insight into which agencies will be competing to rebrand Australia. So, who do we think will be best suited?

And finally, the full Today Show line-up has been announced by Nine, and will see two women front the breakfast show from next week. We look at the full lineup and assess whether Nine’s decision is enough of a point of difference for 2019.

  • Agencies to compete for chance to rebrand Australia (18.03)
