Mutinex grows its employee roster with ex-Nine director

Market mix modelling (MMM) software provider, Mutinex, has announced that the former director of effectiveness at Nine, Jonathan Fox, has joined its team in a growth position as director of client services.

Fox is an accomplished econometrics expert, with a career that first saw him as an econometrician at Holmes & Cook (a marketing effectiveness organisation) in the United Kingdom.

In early 2015, Fox joined media investment analysis company, Ebiquity, where he spent approximately two-thirds of his stint as a senior consultant in the UK before relocating to Australia to serve as Ebqiuity’s head of effectiveness for Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to his involvement on IAB Australia’s Ad Effectiveness Council, Fox has spent the past five-and-a-half years as Nine’s director of effectiveness, providing customers with guidance for “their marketing measurement and effectiveness strategies.”

While Fox admitted that he was initially sceptical of organisations calling themselves “MMM providers”, further analysis on his part uncovered a world of value that modern MMM proponents exist within.

“I have always been sceptical of MMM providers making big claims about high speed and granularity of insights,” he explained.

“Once I looked past it being an attack on the traditional MMM approach, I started to see these benefits come to life using more modern approaches.”

For Fox, Mutinex’s data-driven approach to MMM satisfied a longstanding career goal – finding solutions that can help businesses translate high-quality analytics into undeniable growth.

“Mutinex has built an impressive data-driven decision making engine in GrowthOS [its platform],” said Fox.

“They’ve applied data science and engineering to some of the key pain points of MMM, such as data collection, the lengthy journey to potentially outdated insights or and the lack of action taken off the back of the insights.

“Throughout my career in marketing analytics, I have been searching for how we scale high quality analytics to truly turn businesses into growth powerhouses, and at Mutinex I’ve found a company that shares that vision and is executing on it.”

When speaking on Fox’s appointment to the company, Mutinex’s global chief executive officer, Henry Innis, praised Fox’s experience and potential to create authentic connections with companies looking to grow.

“The appointment of Jon Fox indicates where we are going with our growth strategy — appointing highly credible experts who can interrogate where we are, and bring us to people who want to grow their business through improving their market mix in a credible and authentic way,” expressed Innis.

Fox’s stint at Muntinex begins effective immediately.
