Myer Miss Shop blogger project launches

Myer Miss Shop Blogger Project

Myer has launched a blogger collaboration project for its youth fashion brand Miss Shop.

The Myer Miss Shop Blogger Project is a tie-up with pop-culture website Pedestrian.tv and includes fifteen of Australia’s top fashion bloggers.

They are Alexandra Spencer (4th & Bleeker), Nicole Warne (Gary Pepper), Jessica Stein (Tuula), Mandy Shadforth (Oracle Fox) and Zanita Morgan.

According to a press release, the initiative is the largest fashion blogger campaign ever seen in Australia to launch Myer Miss Shop’s Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection.

Pedestrian’s Chris Wirasinha said: “This project is all about engaging bloggers properly, as influential mini-publishers. The combined audience of Pedestrian TV and the blogs will see Miss Shop reach an online audience of over 1m potential customers.”

Along with blogging about the collection and events, the bloggers will be photographed by fashion photographers Nirrimi Firebrace, Thom Kerr, Akila Berjaoui and Elvis Di Fazio.

The content will be published simultaneously on the Pedestrian.tv website, the bloggers’ own sites, Miss Shop online and Myer’s associated social media sites.

The project will include a fashion event and visit from one of the world’s leading fashion bloggers, more details of which will be published shortly.

Other major brands who have recently engaged fashion bloggers as part of a campaign are L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and Sportsgirl.

The media agency is Ikon Melbourne.

Last year, Pedestrian ran a competition sponsored by Huawei to find Australia’s top bloggers.
