Natarsha Belling to present Seven’s national news at noon
Natarsha Belling has been announced as the presenter of Seven’s new hour-long live news bulletin, National News at Noon, which will air weekdays on Seven and 7plus from Monday.
Seven’s National News at Noon will deliver breaking news and updates from Australia and abroad, “from finance and health to consumer affairs and property”, as well as interactive panel chats, special reports, and feature segments from 7NEWS’ national news desk and team of reporters.
“We’re really honoured and excited that Tarsh has joined the 7NEWS team for what will be a brand new and truly national 12 noon news bulletin,” said Seven’s news chief Anthony De Ceglie.
“At such a critical time in world and national affairs, particularly with a federal election around the corner, it’s only fitting that Seven is delivering more news to Australians in the most dynamic way possible.
“We believe there is a big opportunity to connect with viewers who want the latest news and breaking stories during that vital lunchtime period of the day.”
The new hour-long midday bulletin follows a recently extended The Morning Show, which added 30 minutes a day to now run from 9am to 12pm, directly after the country’s top-rating breakfast show, Sunrise.
“On any given day, 10 of the 24 hours on Seven are proudly produced by the 7NEWS team,” De Ceglie explained last year during Seven’s upfront, describing the noon bulletin as “a game-changer” for Australian news.
“We know audiences are changing,” he explained. “The race for eyeballs has never been more crowded. We’re producing modern and dynamic content for high value audiences that have never been more engaged or informed with the news.”
Belling’s mornings will be busy in 2025, as today also sees her settle in as co-host of Triple M new Breakfast with Beau, Tarsh & Woodsy, as well as presenting the station’s morning news bulletins.
