Network 10 unveiled its new virtual studio in Melbourne last week.

Network 10’s studio premiered its state-of-the-art green screen virtual studio last week in Melbourne.

This pioneering facility, known as Studio 1A, positions Network 10 at the forefront of commercial broadcasting innovation, with the studio delivering unmatched flexibility, advanced automation, and superior visual storytelling capabilities for news and beyond.

Driven by the rapid evolution of Virtual Reality (VR) techniques in television and film, Studio 1A incorporates fully automated, remote-controlled cameras and an immersive graphics platform powered by Unreal Engine – a technology widely recognised for its transformative impact on the global broadcast and film industries.

The integration of these advanced systems allows for seamless camera movements and real-time scene changes, reflecting the latest industry trends in virtual production and automation.

Studio 1A’s multifunctional design enables swift transitions between news, special events, and other broadcast segments with the simple loading of a new virtual set.

Furthermore, presenters are no longer confined to fixed positions, ensuring dynamic new ways to engage audiences and deliver content, delivering a more compelling and visually impactful viewing experience.
