New Aussie gaming and esports marketing agency launches

A new gaming and esports marketing agency has launched, co-founded by Red Bull Australia’s former head of gaming, and the former Australian GM of one of the world’s largest esports companies.

Game Day Collective aims to forge authentic connections between brands and the gaming community, using co-founders James Lai and Josh Inman’s combined experience in consumer marketing, experiential gaming, and esports.

“Many agencies claim to be gaming and esports experts, but their experience often doesn’t go beyond watching their kids play Fortnite and Googling what flossing is. We’re different,” said Josh Inman, co-founder and chief operating officer.

As the former Australian general manager of esports company ESL, Inman said he, and the team, are passionate about creativity, strategic thinking, and flawless execution.

Gaming Day Collective hopes to empower a new era where brands and gamers “unite” – creating more immersive experiences driven by its core values of trust, integrity, authenticity, innovation and collaboration.

Game Day Collective’s co-founder and chief marketer, James Lai, who helped build Red Bull Australia’s gaming program as head of gaming, said: “We put the consumer at the heart of everything we do.

“From strategic marketing to immersive events, we aim to connect brands to the gaming audience,
authentically.”

The marketing agency will focus on three primary pillars: Strategic counsel, go-to-market framework, and consumer experience.
