New B Corp MarTech agency on the block, Four Drunk Parrots

Four Drunk Parrots has become a certified B Corp.

The announcement:

Four Drunk Parrots, a Ballina-based MarTech company balancing purpose and profit, is proud to announce that it is officially B Corp Certified. One of only 4,000 companies globally, and one of only a select few Marketing companies in the Apac region. As sustainability champions they have also been recognised as finalists in the 2021 Northern Rivers Regional Business Awards for excellence in sustainability, where the main event and awards ceremony will take place this coming Saturday night, October 23rd.

In a world where everyone claims to be “green” and “good”, B Corp (B Corporation) certification allows mission-driven businesses to better communicate their commitment to society, their workers, and to the natural environment. It is to business what Fair Trade is to coffee.

As a certified B Corp, Four Drunk Parrots meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance purpose and profit. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

It is not easy to become a B Corp, so achieving B Corp status has a lot of meaning attached to it. More than 100,000 businesses have signed up for the B Corp Impact Assessment since it launched in 2006, but only 4,000 companies – brands like Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, Stone & Wood, and now Four Drunk Parrots – are certified B Corps.

Along with their recent B Corp Certification Four Drunk Parrots have been recognised for excellence in sustainability as finalists for the 2021 Northern Rivers Regional Business Awards. The awards bring businesses from around the region together to celebrate business excellence with winners progressing through to the state awards.

At Four Drunk Parrots sustainability is at the heart of all they do. Their mission is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and they’re continuously working to protect and preserve the planet. Whether it’s green coding websites or picking up bags of rubbish by hand from the Ballina marina, Four Drunk Parrots are tackling climate change and helping preserve

the planet for generations to come. Definitely setting the bar high and inspiring other businesses to embrace sustainable practices.

How Four Drunk Parrots are making a difference:

– They are the first and only company in the Northern Rivers and one of few globally, to be Climate Neutral Certified. Climate Neutral Certification works to decrease global carbon emissions by getting businesses to measure, offset, and reduce the carbon they emit.

– They are a member of 1% For the Planet where one percent of our revenues go to vetted environmental nonprofits.

– They are on track to remove 100 bags of rubbish by hand this year from our immediate local environment (the Richmond River foreshore and Ballina Marina).

“Our company started with the wish to be better than the other marketing sharks out there. With the wish to stand out by doing the right thing for others but also for the planet, our communities and our people. This drive is now something much bigger. It’s become a mission. A movement. Our soul. Caring is no longer enough. We have to act now and be generous with our time, with our money, and our actions. That’s why we are committed to the work of building a more inclusive company and being a force for social and environmental good. Together, we can make a difference.” Sonja Ceri, CEO Four Drunk Parrots

“Business NSW is delighted to recognise Four Drunk Parrots as an Excellence in Sustainability Finalist in the 2021 Northern Rivers Business Awards. This unique team of marketing professionals have a strong sustainability credential built on helping both their clients and the planet to thrive. They deserve to be recognised for their purpose before profit positioning, backed by great talent and creative vision.” Jane Laverty, Regional Manager Business NSW Northern Rivers.

It’s the decade of action. It’s time to collectively commit to making a tangible difference to the world. Four Drunk Parrots are leading the way for businesses to embrace sustainability and make a change. They’re committed to putting purpose before profit: using marketing as a force for good
